David presented to parents and teachers at Immanuel College, Maroochydore on common ENT problems in kids that affect their school performance.
David presented to doctors in Brisbane at the CAAQ meeting. The topic was about common ENT problems and how they may present to health practitioners.
Oct 5th – 7th: Surgeons from all over Australia, and overseas came to the Sunshine Coast for the Australasian Rhinological Society’s Scientific Meeting.
This was organised by Daniel Timperley, and attended also by David. It was one of the best meetings ever held and allowed a great discussion on the best ways forward with new technology and knowledge on how to care for patients with nose and sinus problems.
David presented on the cardiac implications of untreated paediatric sleep disordered breathing.
David presented in Brisbane at the MSD University GP education day
The topic was an update on antibiotics for acute otitis media and upper airway obstruction as it relates to orthodontics.
Dr Daniel Timperley and visiting Laryngology specialist Dr Theo Athanasiadis presented on their respective fields of expertise.
Daniel presented the ENT approach to rhinoplasty, highlighting the importance of establishing and maintaining nasal function. Theo presented an up to date overview of laryngeal surgery, including voice restorative procedures which can now be done in the office under local anaesthetic.
Presentation to GPs on the topic of the health implications of untreated upper airway disease in children
In conjunction with leading orthodontist Dr Vas Srinivasan, David presented to GPs on the topic of the health implications of untreated upper airway disease in children. In this talk he highlighted behavioural problems, learning problems, heart problems, and orthodontic problems, all of which are improved with prompt referral and intervention.
After many years of trying, David’s proudest moment for Indigenous health
Dr. McIntosh fixed 16 kids today in the private system, saving them from years of waiting in the public system.
